IHSA supports Illinois Head Start and Early Head Start programs with staff recruitment and retention. All IHSA members have unlimited access to job postings on our Career page. Submit your agency's open positions to have them featured.
To view available positions, visit the agency listing page. Click directly on the agency name you're interested in to see their current openings or employment page. Newly submitted listings from agencies are clearly indicated on the page.
POSTING REQUIREMENTS (free for Members):
To post your Early Head Start or Head Start job openings, please send either a PDF file or a direct link to your agency’s employment web page to: lwang@ilheadstart.org. Ensure your job announcement includes the following details:
- Agency contact information
- Clear instructions for applicants (e.g., apply via email, phone, or website)
- Job location (city or specific site)
- Application deadline, if applicable
- If any 3rd party submits job postings on your behalf, the email request MUST 'cc' your agency’s contact person to confirm approval.
- IMPORTANT: your listing may remain active for 60–90 days, or longer; until YOUR designated person accesses the IHSA Jobs Board to remove it. Your designated staff person may access the Jobs Board 24/7 to post/adjust/remove your PDFs.
FOR NON MEMBERS POSTING REQUESTS:
Forward your PDF file (as instructed above). Non-member postings ($50 each) have a 30-day expiration, including weekends and holidays. Upon consent and payment, a link to your IHSA invoice will be emailed to you. Paying by credit card will now include a 4.09% transaction fee (by PayPal). Regular social posts are included, bringing our viewers to this IHSA jobs page.
