HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to participate in the IHSA Innovative Bright Practices Initiative:
- Review the Criteria:
- Must be be a Head Start and/or Early Head Start Program operating in Illinois
- Must be a member of the Illinois Head Start Association
- Practices should reflect a forward-thinking and innovative approach which supports diverse, equitable, and inclusive practices that break barriers for children and families pushed to the margins and under-resourced.
- Identify Your Innovative Practice:
Reflect on the innovative practices or approaches that your Head Start and/or Early Head Start program has implemented. Consider how these practices have positively impacted children, families, or the community.
- Submit your Materials:
Gather all relevant information and materials about your innovative practice. This may include descriptions, case studies, testimonials, data or evidence, any other supporting documentation.
- Share it with IHSA:
Fill out the form provided by the IHSA Innovative Bright Practices Initiative. Be sure to provide clear and detailed information about your innovative practice, including its goals, implementation process, outcomes, and any challenges or lessons learned. Upload materials such as photographs, videos, any other supporting documentation that IHSA can use to highlight your "Bright Innovative Practice."
- Celebrate Your Success:
If your innovative practice is selected as an Innovative Bright Practice by the IHSA, celebrate your success and the recognition of your efforts in advancing the HS/EHS, early childhood education and family services community. Your practice may be featured on the IHSA website, in promotional materials, or at events to inspire and inform others in the field.
- Stay Connected:
Stay engaged with the IHSA community by attending events, participating in networking opportunities, and sharing your experiences and insights with others. Continued collaboration and knowledge-sharing can further drive innovation and excellence in our community.
