Contestant Rules and Regulations

  • A contestant my only enter in one act
  • No more than 10 people per act
  • No Animal, fire, or acts that can risk injury to the performer
  • No Lip Syncing
  • Acts must be at least 2 minutes but no longer than 5 minutes per act
  • Acts must be good natured and hold true to the Head Start Mission Statement (familyfriendly)
  • Dress in whatever best suites your stage talent.
  • We will provide a flat raised stage, electricity, cassette/cd player and microphone for performances. All other props must be furnished by the performer.
  • There will be three “Head Start Celebrity” judges who will give their opinions and comments but the actual winner will be chosen by the audience.
  • Winner will be announced on Friday at the Closing Luncheon.
  • There will be only one winner. Whoever receives the most votes is the winner. The winner announced is final. Entries will be counted by two different people in the IHSA office.
  • Winner(s) will receive $100.00 cash for themselves or to split with the members of their team.
  • IHSA holds right to cancel any act that is not compliant to the rules and regulations
